Today I wanted to share some of my top winter beauty/skincare essentials. During the cooler months, I suffer from dry, itchy skin and redness. Here are some products that have really helped, leaving my skin looking and feeling great.
OSEA Malibu Atmosphere Protection Cream
I love finding products that have natural ingredients and are effective. I was introduced to this brand and product after it was included in a subscription box I received last summer. I’ve been using it daily ever since and recently reordered. Besides the fact that it smells amazing, when you put it on, you immediately feel it working. I use it in the morning before applying make-up. I found that it calms my redness and makes my skin feel smooth and hydrated. It is lightweight and a little bit goes a long way – you just need a couple of squirts in the palm of your hand. This brand is worth checking out. They are a family-owned and operated company and all of their products are made in California. They have a wide array of other skincare products that are made with natural ingredients.
Evanhealy Whipped Shea Butter Lip Balm
Evanhealy is another natural skincare brand that I love. This lip balm is ah-mazing! It is certified organic and doesn’t contain harsh chemicals – it is made from shea butter, beeswax and oils. I always have this balm with me and use it throughout the day, keeping my lips moisturized and smooth.
Clinique Deep Comfort Body Butter
I purchased this product after reading so many positive reviews online. My biggest pet-peeve with body lotion is feeling greasy or sticky after applying it. That’s why I love this body butter. It’s not thick, goes on smooth and absorbs quickly. I use it daily after my shower and it keeps my skin moisturized all day long. It has a very soft, faint scent but it’s not overpowering.
Aveda Hand Relief Moisturizing Cream
In addition to the impact of the cold weather, I am constantly washing my hands throughout the day so they tend to get extremely dry and cracked. This cream keeps my hands so soft and lasts through several washes. It has a soft, floral scent and again, it does not leave that greasy or sticky feeling after applying it.
Too Faced Snow Bunny Luminous Bronzer
My skin is very fair and sensitive. I use minimal foundation and I don’t like to use tanning products on my face. What I love about this shimmery bronzer is that it is very subtle and looks natural, and gives me a little glow in the winter months. I blend all the colors with my brush and apply lightly on my forehead, t-zone and the hollows of my cheeks. I also like to use the lighter, cream shade to highlight my cheekbones.
Mario Badescu Skincare Face Masks
Mario Badescu Skincare is another great brand to check out. They offer a variety of products including cleansers, moisturizers, serums and toners at affordable prices. I’ve been using their products for several years. I particularly love their line of face masks. I use these masks at least once a week at night after using a cleanser to help exfoliate and moisturize. I noticed shortly after I started using them that my pores were less visible and my skin felt healthier. I am currently using the strawberry tonic mask, I’ve linked two others in this post.
