It’s no secret that I love a good bargain. Wearing the latest fashions doesn’t require breaking the bank. In today’s post I’ll show how to get the look for less on some of this season’s hottest shoe styles.
Nude Ankle-Strap Heels
Nude ankle-strap heels are an absolute staple for Spring and Summer wardrobes. They can coordinate with any colorway and you can pair them with many outfits – dresses, skirts, dress slacks and jeans. There are so many variations of this style to choose from. Inspired by the Sam Edelman Patti ankle strap sandal ($100), I found these Hideaway heeled sandals by ASOS ($40) for less than half the price!
If you are looking for a shorter heel, check out these Nubuck ankle strap heels by Lulu’s ($29). I gushed about them in my engagement photo shoot post – they are so comfortable and the heel height is appropriate for many occasions.
White Pumps
One of my favorite looks of the season is a neutral blouse or top with a pair of skinny jeans and a pair of white pointed-toe pumps. For you brides-to-be, a white pump will work perfectly with all your white special occasion dresses. Similar to the Sam Edelman Hazel pump ($120), Nine West offers their Tatiana pump ($70). Another option is the a.n.a. Claire pump ($60) – I love the instep cutout detail.
Blush Suede Pumps
Normally I prefer to wear suede pumps in the Fall and Winter seasons, but a suede pump in a blush (or beige) shade can be pulled off in Spring/Summer. Inspired by these Jimmy Choo Romy beauties ($595), I came across these faux suede pumps from Forever 21 for only $20!
Florals
One of the best things about the season is getting to step into florals (pun intended). A floral shoe is a great way to dress up an outfit and add a pop of color. There are so many designs and patterns to choose from. Stuart Weitzman offers the Nouveau Floral pump for $175, while you can get these other options for less than have the price: Jessica Simpson Purla Pump (on sale for $60), BCBG Leigh Watercolor Floral Pump (on sale for $50), Journee Collection Pacey Pump (on sale for $40 – I love the t-strap design!) and the Karen Scott Clancy Floral Pump (on sale for $28).
‘Blue Suede Shoes’
Two of my favorite retro styles are back – wide leg pants and block heels. I’ve been seeing ankle-strap block heel sandals in beige, blush and grey, but I love the light blue suede offered by Pella Moda with their Bonnie Ankle Strap sandal ($160). Target hits the mark with their Merona Lulu block heel sandals for only $30! If you prefer a short heel for everyday wear, they also offer their Merona Marcella low block heel pumps for $28.
Wedge Sandals
These Marc Fisher Adalyne platform wedge sandals ($170) are everywhere! I’m seeing them all over social media. You can get the same look with these Jaylen wedge sandals by Steve Madden. They are available in four colors – black, cognac, rose gold and taupe – and are currently on sale for $60!
Black ankle-strap wedge sandals will never go out of style. I have a pair I love from last summer that are no longer available, very similar to these Sam Edelman Willow wedge sandals ($110). I found other similar styles for less: Nine West Jabrina wedge sandal ($80), Steve Madden Elody wedge sandal ($50) and the Style Charles Laura wedge sandal ($40).
Mules
How cute are these Fox Bow Slip On Mules by Office? The price ($130), not so much… The Megan Knot Front Mule Loafers by boohoo are a great dupe for only $36! I love the bow/knot detail – it adds a feminine element to the classic mule.
If you want a more traditional loafer-style mule, I found these Aidaa Slip-On Mules by Alfani for $60 that are a great alternative to the Mika Mule by Rebecca Minkoff priced at $175.
Embellished Sandals
Add some glam to your outfit with embellished sandals. Inspired by these Badgley Mischka Cara crystal embellished sandals ($175-$195), I found three styles from Asos that are less than half the price: Jiles embellished sandals by Faith ($51 – I love the blush color!), Silver embellished sandals by Lost Ink ($54) and the Flowerpot embellished sandals by Asos ($45).
If you are looking for a more subtle embellishment, the whip stitch style is trending with the Jack Rogers Hamptons Metallic Leather Whip Stitch Slip-On Sandals ($118). Sam & Libby for Target offers a like style with their Whip Stitch thong sandal for $25. They have a similar gold metallic (faux) leather and stacked heel, along with the cutout and stitch detail.
Flip Flops
In my last The Friday Five post, I talked about the new LC Lauren Conrad Beach Collection that launched last month at Kohl’s and shared some of my favorites which included these rose gold flip-flops ($20 – update: they are currently on sale for $9.99!). They are so comfortable and I’ve been wearing them with my maxi dresses. They are a great dupe for the Sam Edelman Rose Gold Oliver flip-flop ($40).
Vintage Lace-Up Sneakers
Another trend I’m loving this season is pairing white vintage lace-up sneakers with shorts, leggings or jersey/t-shirt dresses for a casual summer look. Similar to the adidas Originals Superstar sneakers ($100), Express offers their Perforated Lace-Up Low Top sneakers ($60) and Forever 21 offers their Perforated Faux Leather sneakers ($25!).
